Hi Aloranani. I'm now playing most weekday evenings European time for a few hours and longer at weekends. I have characters at level 5, 10, 11 and 15 so can team up with most other levels except level 20, but don't know much about the higher level areas yet.

I've started leveling a rogue archer alongside my sorcerer and cleric to see how well they do. So far it's working really well I think. I've managed to complete the minotaurs at level 10 and it's a fun build to play. I'm not sure how any of my characters will handle later content, but I'm slowly working out how to do things by trial and error - well guessing, trying, dying, respawning and then coming up with another plan to be more accurate. It's kind of fun to find out about things like the dancing scimitars and those confusion arrows the minotaurs use and working out how to deal with them.

Yesterday for the first time I ran into someone else on the server and we teamed up. I really noticed the difference in XP as my rogue build has a multiclass penalty, and I hope I didn't make too many mistakes. So thanks to Hlam.

Well, I had a really fun evening playing with a couple of Aloranani's characters and got to see 4 new areas above ground that I had not found or had not been able to get into. I'm beginning to realize the world is a lot bigger than I had thought and have started drawing maps. I found out how much of a problem resting can be when your on your own so I've started thinking about creating a character that can do the content without having to rest so much. Maybe some sort of strength based rogue with high UMD would work?

I finally made it to Manatakloss the drow city thanks to a lot of hand holding by the player of Aloranani. I've learned a huge amount just by watching how things are done and managed to scribble some notes and maps along the way. We went through one of the houses and the academy and killed two dragons along the way - well Aloranani did anyway, whilst I did my best to just stay alive :)

I'm really hoping the level 20 gear makes it a bit easier to survive, otherwise I'm not sure I'd ever get there on my own.

I've been experimenting with various builds over the last few weeks and it seems the ones that do best are clerics and things that do not need to rest much but which can take full advantage of the various gear available. Certainly my rogue heavy build has been the easiest so far to level and is the first I've got to level 17. How it survives on its own will be a different matter, which is why I'm leveling my cleric at the same time. I'd love to hear what sort of builds work well for other people.

I dig clerics in poa sun and air. I can't remember who I got my build from but it was lawful good until lvl 20 and I used a human sacrifice to make it lawful evil so I could use the evil spec armor from trespassers tavern.

Well, I've been here now for 4 months so time for a quick update. In the last week I've got my first level 20s on the server. The slight problem is that they're both rogues, but I've found variations on rogue builds to be the easiest thing to explore with and survive. Maybe it's just the way I like to play. I also have a sorc and a cleric at around level 17 but I have a much tougher time on my own with those because of having to rest.

I'm still learning a load of things from other players, especially Aloranani who showed me how to get the 4 house crests in a couple of hours teamed up with one of his characters. He even managed to stop me getting myself killed along the way, which was pretty amazing considering that getting myself killed is the one thing I'm really good at.

Next stop I guess will be the palace. How hard can it be? :)

Hi Morwen and a (very) belated welcome.

Nice to see people are still finding the server and having fun. Good luck with the palace :)
