There will be essential power work affecting the rack where the server lives on the evening of Friday 3rd May which should last no more than 2 hours.

To complicate things I'm away for that weekend so if things don't reappear I'll not be able to get things fixed until the following Tuesday.

Well I'm afraid that didn't go to plan. It seems the power cycle fried some memory. Rebooted with failed memory removed but will have to take things down again for a few minutes when the replacement arrives in a day or two.

Finally got around to replacing failed memory whilst no one was logged in (I think). So server is back to normal.
